The BHS Conservation Fund

The BHS Conservation Fund (formerly Land Fund) can be used in two ways. Firstly to provide funds for purchasing sites with either rare, less widespread or excellent amphibian and/or reptile assemblages with a management plan in place. Sites are considered on their individual merits and the species concerned should have a local species action plan as part of the local biodiversity action plan. Secondly the fund can give grants up to £1500 for practical conservation work such as pond creation, purchase of tools and materials for habitat management preferably match funded. Applications will be assessed on their individual merits.

For further information regarding reserves acquisition and grants for conservation work contact the BHS Conservation officer (see below).

To apply, download the relevant application form, which can be filled in on your computer, and return by email the BHS Conservation officer.
