The Herpetological Journal is the Society's prestigious quarterly scientific journal. Articles are listed in Biological Abstracts, Current Awareness in Biological Sciences,Current Contents, Science Citation Index, and Zoological Record.
The current (end June 2013) impact factor of the Herpetological Journal is 1.08 and the 5-year impact factor is 0.90.
The Herpetological Bulletin is produced quarterly and publishes, in English, a range of articles related to herpetology. These include full length papers, book reviews, letters from readers, society news and other items of general herpetological interest. Emphasis is placed on natural history, captive breeding and husbandry, veterinary and behavioural articles.
The Natterjack is the quarterly ebulletin of the BHS. It aims to provide members with information on all aspects of the society's activities and interests. It features sections on Herpetological research, The care of captive reptiles and amphibians, conservation information and updates on the work of the BHS itself.
