For our 2019 AGM, we're fortunate to have the excellent facilities of Hadlow College in Tonbridge, Kent.  Many BHS members will be aware of the National Centre for Reptile Welfare, based at the college - which will be open for tours during the day. This new state of the art reptile rescue centre has already started taking in animals.

The college itself is set just outside the village of Hadlow, which is served by a good bus service direct from the nearest train station Tonbridge. This is approximately ten/fifteen minutes.

There is ample car parking FOC and aside from a farm shop there is also an excellent pub providing food and if required accommodation. Refreshments are also readily available from an onsite garden centre café.

The college has a very well equipped exotic fish and animal centre, where students across a range of modern animal management courses learn their skills in handling, husbandry and management. This will also be available for BHS members to visit on the day.

All this and great speakers too - we hope to see many BHS members there on the day. Please do join us if you can!

NOTE: For the first time we are asking members to book on to the event, so we have a clear idea of numbers expected. Please book using the `Register' options below - there is no cost for attending or booking.

Following 2018's very well received and successful conference - with more than 100 people attending on each of the two days -  we are planning to hold another in 2019, at the same excellent venue - Drayton Manor Park, near Tamworth.

Similar format - free workshops / talks on Saturday 11th May with the paid admission conference proper on Sunday 12th May.

Details of themes and speakers will be added as the program solidifies over the next couple months so please book the dates in your diary and check back regularly for updates.

We want to focus particularly on bringing expertise from both private and zoological  / commercial husbandry communities together - sharing and promoting best practise and successful approaches across the spectrum of herpetology husbandry.

Details of the April 2018 conference are here for information: Joint AHH - BHS - IHS Conference April 2018

If you missed that one, you won't want to miss the 2019 event!
