The 2026 BHS Summer Meeting will be held at Amersham - moving south after our very good meeting last year in Manchester.
Amersham Community Centre has plenty of on site parking and is just a few minutes walk from the train station, so easily accessible by car or public transport.
The meeting - as normal - will include a number of speakers plus a short AGM / Business section. Don't let that put you off attending though (!) as it's also a good opportunity to hear about BHS activities and successes in the previous twelve months.
How to register
Booking for the meeting is required please - so we have an idea of attendance for catering, voting quoracy etc - and is easy for BHS members ....just log in to the website and your details will be automatically populated in the data fields during the booking process.
Not a BHS member? you're very welcome to attend a but a small charge is applied for non-members during the booking process
Full program will be available as soon as we can but we already have two great speakers lined up:
Pete Hill is a life-long field herpetologist, digging his first pond at 8 years of age and finding his first sand lizard as a 9 year old. For more than a decade, he has been employed by Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (ARC) in Wales. Pete will share his experiences of undertaking a diverse range of activities from creating pond networks for great crested newts, to surveying reptiles, and monitoring the sand lizard reintroductions to Welsh costal dune systems.”
We'll also have tables selling dry goods and publications together with a display of student research posters. We look forward to seeing you on June 28th!
